Group Guides
Group Guides are resources built for small group leaders — discussion questions, study materials, leader notes, and reading plans.
What Are Group Guides?
A Group Guide is a resource tied to a small group's curriculum or study. Common examples:
- Weekly discussion questions for a sermon series
- Chapter-by-chapter study guides
- Leader prep notes with icebreakers and prayer prompts
- Downloadable worksheets or reading plans
Creating a Group Guide
- Click Resources in the left sidebar
- Click Add New
- Give your guide a clear title (e.g., "James Study, Week 3: Discussion Questions")
- Use the block editor to add content
- Upload a Featured Image
- Hit Publish
tip
Use a consistent naming format for multi-week studies — it makes them much easier to find and organize.
Organizing Your Guides
Use Categories (e.g., "Small Group Guides," "Life Group Materials," "Fall 2024 Study"). Set a category in the Resource editor's right sidebar.
Tips for Great Group Guides
- Keep them scannable
- Include topic, passage, discussion questions, and a prayer prompt at minimum
