Creating Site Announcements

Announcements are site-wide banners that grab attention the moment someone lands on your site. Christmas Eve service times, building campaign updates, VBS registration — if it's urgent, announce it.

Two Types of Announcements

• Bar — A slim banner across the top of your site. Clean, subtle, hard to miss.
• Bubble — A floating element that pops up on screen. A little more "hey, look at this."

Creating an Announcement

1. Go to Announcements > Add New
2. Choose your type (Bar or Bubble)
3. Add your message (keep it short and punchy)
4. Add a link if you want people to click through
5. Publish it

Your announcement goes live site-wide immediately. When you're done with it, unpublish it manually — there's no auto-expiration, so don't forget to take down your Easter announcement in July.

Pro Tip

Run one announcement at a time. Stacking banners makes your site look cluttered. Pick the most important thing and let it breathe.
